Muscone is a very strong musk with a dual character. When used in low doses (0.05%-0.5%), it acts as a fragrance enhancer in perfume formulations. At higher doses, in addition to enhancing the fragrance, it also exhibits its inherent musk aroma characteristics. It has excellent lasting power on fabrics, hair, and skin, with a softness reminiscent of musk, powder, and cosmetics.
